Group tenancy apartments at A‑Kruunu
Group tenancy apartments offer residents a combination of privacy and community.
Each of our group tenancy apartments have four private rooms for residents, in addition to shared common facilities and bathrooms (utility room at Konttinosturinkuja 4). Each tenant has their own private room and their own lease agreement. The kitchens are modern and clean, with plenty of storage space. They are also equipped with a refrigerator, a freezer and a kitchen stove. The shared common facilities may include shared furniture, such as sofas or dining tables. All apartments have a 100 Mbit/s broadband connection, and electricity is included in the rent. The rooms are unfurnished, but each room contains a wardrobe or a walk-in wardrobe.
Our first group tenancy apartments in Turumankatu in Kruunuvuorenranta were completed in 2021, followed in 2022 by apartments in Länsisatamankatu in Jätkäsaari. Our newest group tenancy apartment in Konttinosturinkuja in Kalasatama was completed in 2024.
Group tenancy housing is communal living at its best and suitable for many different walks of life, from seniors to families with children who wish to share an apartment together. Anyone can apply for residency in a group tenancy apartment. The apartments are designed according to the fundamental idea of group tenancy: housing that combines private and shared spaces. Shared housing makes it easier to share the costs and obligations of everyday life.
Residents have a say in who they live with. And if one tenant moves out, the remaining residents can voice their opinions when a new tenant is chosen. However, the final decision is always made by A-Kruunu based on the applications and in accordance with ARA’s resident selection guidelines.
