• Masquerade in the club room! A theme or free choice, the best ones will be rewarded

Ice Castle:

Invite your neighbours to join in and create a spectacular ice castle in your yard. Building a castle bit by bit is easy, and every household has the necessary materials and tools. An ice castle brings joy and livens up a common yard, and is a fun, shared activity in the neighbourhood – while keeping social distancing in mind.

Making ice bricks is as easy as:

• Freezing water in empty rinsed milk and juice cartons. The freezing time depends on the temperature and can take from one to two days.
• Colourful ice bricks are made by freezing water dyed with watercolours, food colouring, beetroot or even blueberry juice.
• Once the water is frozen, remove the cardboard from the ice brick.
• Take the ice bricks to the building location and connect them to each other by lightly spraying water between the bricks. You can also use slush as an adhesive.

Before building the castle, look for a suitable location in the yard that does not hinder people, cars, snowploughs or other traffic. You can agree that anyone can bring and attach ice bricks to the castle as they like. This way the ice castle gradually takes shape and the end result is a surprise for everyone. People of all ages can participate in this fun winter project!
