Nihti is an island at the southernmost tip of Sompasaari in the eastern part of the city of Sörnäinen.

Nihti and Sompasaari, which are separated from the old Sörnäinen harbour area by the Nihti Channel, form an urban area where residents can enjoy beautiful scenery and maritime atmosphere. Recreation and outdoor areas will be constructed on the shores of Nihti. The names of the streets are based on the local harbour and seafaring.
Nihti's Lukki quarter will house new apartment buildings, with apartments ranging from 36 m2 to 114.5 m2 in size. Some of the apartments will be communal group rentals and studio apartments for artists. The studio apartments are intended for full-time artists.
The A-Kruunu rental homes at Konttinosturinkuja are located next to the Nihti tram stop and Merihaansilta bridge, which will be completed in 2026.
The new tram route 13 from Kalasatama to Pasila, which commenced operations on 12 August 2024, connects the current tram, metro and train networks. The completion of the Crown Bridges project in 2026 will open a tram lane and a lane for pedestrians and bicycles via a bridge to Hakaniemi. In the east, a tram will take passengers via Korkeasaari and Kruunuvuorenranta all the way to Laajasalo.
The services, school and metro station of Kalasatama along with the Redi shopping centre can be reached by foot or by tram. The outdoor areas of Mustikkamaa are also easily accessible through Kalasatama by crossing the Isoisänsilta bridge. The new Nihti daycare centre will be located just one block away once it has been completed in August–September 2024.
Smoking is forbidden on the property. This includes smoking inside the apartments, on the balconies or in the property’s shared spaces and outdoor areas. The rent includes broadband access (10 Mbit/s). Water bills are calculated according to the amount used. Pets are welcome.
